Save the date for the first EREK (European Resourse Efficiency Knowledge Centre) webinar! With title: “Lessons learned from delivering resource efficiency support programmes to SME's in Europe Insights from France, Scotland & Estonia”, Tuesday 19th March 2019

Our first webinar, hosted by our partner ADEME, is a key opportunity to promote transnational partnerships in the field of resource efficiency. Addressing the recently implemented resource efficiency support programmes in France, Scotland & Estonia, this webinar will provide a clear and practical overview of opportunities for SME's. The workshop will focus on what the implementation of resource efficiency can do for your business, and how several support schemes can help SME competitiveness.

The event is participatory and focuses on learning, enabling actors to gain an understanding of the opportunities in terms of resource efficiency and the programmes in place to support implementation.

Workshop objectives:

·   To bring together different private consultants, chambers of commerce and industry, SMEs support intermediaries and policy makers with responsibilities for resource efficiency and SMEs competitiveness.

·     To share knowledge and experience on public support programmes as well as specific tools for identification of resource efficiency potential in SMEs, and learn from each other.

·     To enable networking and engage intermediaries from relevant countries into EREK activities.

·    To challenge the participants to think about how companies can access support and implement resource efficiency.

The European Resource Efficiency Knowledge Centre (EREK for short) is here to help European companies, especially SMEs, save energy, material and water costs. We provide tools, information and business opportunities that show you new and better ways to be resource efficient and benefit from circular economy business models which turn waste into an asset. EREK supports national, regional and local organisations across Europe that work with SMEs to improve their environmental performance, helping them to become more resource efficient.

EREK is an initiative of the European Commission and it is implemented by a consortium of organisations including Technopolis Group, VDI Zentrum Ressourceneffizienz (DE), WRAP (UK), Motiva (FI), Enviros (CZ), WAAT and Arctik (BE).
